The inn is named for the Roman god of wine. Bacchus was the son of Jupiter. He showed mortals how to cultivate
grapevines and make wine. He represents not only wine, but also wine's social and beneficial influences.
Therefore, Bacchus is also viewed as the promoter of civilization, law, and peace.
The wine theme is carried throughout these charming Victorian inns.
Guests may relax in the Victorian parlor, enjoy a glass of wine on the porch, or engage in a friendly game of
billiards. The Bacchus Inn has much to offer, including romance, charm, and wine.
